Roy Hatfield Ltd was formed in 1971 when the founder Roy Hatfield recognised a the need to recycle waste streams into quality and consistent alternative raw materials .
Over the next six years the company grew substantially and a second 2.5 acre site was purchased to cope with increased demand. It was at this time research and development began into a new line of products destined for the industrial and decorative concrete industry. Ultimately these products were to be manufactured and marketed through the HATCRETE® brand which has established itself as the UK's first and largest manufacturer of decorative and industrial concrete finishing products.
Over the following years more and more emphasis was placed on the recyling of waste streams from the steel and chemical industry, the fact that we still deal with many of the customers established in the 70's to this day is testament to our service. A larger, 6 acre site was purchased in 1985 to house a custom recycling and manufacturing facility and on site laboratory which is where the company still operates from today.
Roy Hatfield is still an active member of the team and believes the companies long standing success can be attributed in part to traditional business values:
"We have built our business on a foundation of integrity, professionalism and good common sense. Our aim has been to provide the highest quality products and services to all our customers and maintain a long term relationship through trust. We place great emphasis on continual research and development ensuring the maintenance of our excellent high standards and would hope to continue this service for many years to come"
